Welcome
Welcome Delaware Library Programmers. We hope you enjoyed attending this training as part of Delaware Division of the Arts’ Access Creative Aging initiative, made possible by a grant provided by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies in partnership with E.A. Michelson Philanthropy.
Curriculum Coaching
To support the development and implementation of your creative aging programs, Lifetime Arts will review your program plans, and host a virtual coaching session for library programmers and their teaching artist partners.
We will review the curriculum for sequential skillbuilding, meaningful social engagement, and other logistical considerations. We will also provide customized guidance to help ensure your success. Below is a full breakdown of the process:
- First, programming librarians will use the model learned in the training to determine which artforms are appropriate for their facility (or select a platform for remote program delivery); survey the community to determine their interests, and contract a teaching artist to teach the creative aging program series.
- Collaboratively, library programmers and teaching artists will determine a program timeline, develop a curriculum (designed and written by the teaching artist), and establish a budget.
- Next, teams will submit program plan documents to Lifetime Arts for review.
- Once your plans have been submitted, you will be invited to schedule a 20-minute coaching session when we will review your plans and provide customized guidance to help ensure your success.
