Training Description:
The teaching artists who completed the “Creative Aging Foundations” training in July, will return for more in-depth professional development training in creative aging best practices with the Lifetime Arts team.
Over the course of three intensive sessions, participants will:
- Do a deep dive into an examination of creative aging design elements and experience activities to:
- Assess their creative aging students
- Provide social engagement opportunities
- Establish positive feedback protocols
- Share experiences and ideas about how these design principles might be applied in their own artforms and practices
- Create their own creative aging curriculum
During the third session:
- Participants will exchange feedback and ideas about one another’s curriculum to support the development of one another’s work
- Lifetime Arts trainers will facilitate dialogue in small groups and lend their own ideas and expertise to the feedback that each participant will receive
